Addresscloud, a leading cloud technology insurtech business, has today announced that Protector Insurance has selected its Addresscloud Platform and AddressFirst product to power its address verification and geocoding services.
Protector Insurance will use Addresscloud’s API Platform to enhance its in-house developed core systems and data quality management tools, to transform the accuracy and speed of its underwriting and maintain an exceptional level of service to brokers, customers and reinsurers. Addresscloud’s new AddressFirst product, which brings together the best of Royal Mail addresses and Ordnance Survey location data, will be used to rapidly locate UK property, and cleanse the data of any errors and inconsistencies.
“It is our mission to be different and to challenge the market by being both a cost and quality leader. We chose Addresscloud because we believe they can assist us in our journey, said Leonard Bijl, CIO. ‘’We aim to further improve the broker experience and deliver best in class underwriting to the benefit of all parties in the value chain. Addresscloud will help us to deliver 100% data quality to our reinsurers and claim handling department, as well as rapidly develop and improve the workflows that form our underwriting ecosystem. We will use their highly configurable APIs and deep domain knowledge in both addressing and insurance, to augment our in-house technology development.’’
Mark Varley, CEO, Addresscloud, added: “The decision by an insurer with the ambition, innovation and market presence of Protector to select our platform is a truly amazing endorsement of our platform technology and product development".
By delivering high quality address and location information at speed, our aim is to not only give insurers a competitive edge in their underwriting and pricing processes but to improve risk selection and portfolio management. We have developed a great relationship with Protector and one we look forward to developing further as we work together over the next 3 years.”
Addresscloud provides software services to locate and describe addresses with rooftop level accuracy using high quality data from our market-leading partners. It has recently launch AddressFirst, a new product combining the best of Royal Mail and Ordnance Survey address data into a single, fully-managed package. This new dataset provides coordinates for every single postal address throughout Great Britain with geographic coordinates from the Ordnance Survey (OS) for rooftop level accuracy.
